Also forgot alt plug too.

I went and got alot of the small items hoses and such today and got the goods to get the vent system done for the fuel cell :awesomework:

Got the intake all cleaned up and the fuel adapter ordered--should be here tommorow. Just gotta order the o2 sensor bung from LC engineering and good to go.

So just waiting for stuff at this point...
 
All I have right now is 4.88 gears.......no install kit or solid spacer..........let me know.

crash the bung from Lc was backorder'd as of 2 weeks ago but we tried for my buddies rig so we ended up using i think a 17mm nut but they may be in stock now :awesomework:
 
The 4th is past and so is the party--so time for an update. I got all the ARB stuff I needed thanks to my buddy chris at ARB...

So I decided to get the carrier fixed up-and let me tell you what. This was by far the hardest one I have done. Typicly what I see when the pinion goes into the carrier its a suttle rubbing against the carrier. With this one that was not the case--the pinion hit it pretty hard and mushroomed the carrier into the 4 crosspin retaining pins. Luckily the 2 smaller pin sit down into the carrier and I was able to drill the holes out and get them out.

The other 2---ya they were a pain.

I tried to grind the top to remove some of the mushroomed material and they would not come out. I finally had to drill below the end of the pin and force it upward enough to grab it

And now we have a perfect working carrier...

As soon as I got a ring/pinion I can get the rear finished up..
 
I also got stuff to finish the vent for the fuel cell. Since most rollover valves from what I have seen--only close when fully upside down--I went and put an easily accessable shut of valve in the vent in case of a rollover to the side.

And then ran hose and looped it around the air tank--pretty straight forward (looping it helps to prevent fuel leakage on slosh of the fuel--will sit in the hose and evaperate).

SO since I had the needed ARB good I would finish getting the lines ran. The front came with the hardline conversion kit. So I ran the line with the front vent line as I typicly do.

And ran it down the brake line--leaving extra looped for just in case.

I chose to run the lines thru the back side of the tool box. The only option running it thru the bottom was in front of the battery which might cause an issue of damaged lines if the battery has to come out.

I removed the shiney lower intake and unfortunatly the gasket tore where it had sealer on it. At this point I still don't have the parts I need--but I didd get a bunch of small stuff I needed like hoses and such. So I decided to go ahead and bolt the intake all up to see what I might be missing and what I might need in the way of small stuff..

SO found out a couple small items I still need/will grab tommorow. But I also got all new radiator hoses and threw them on to make sure they fit. The one big different from the first/second gen truck in the coolant system--is how the temp control valve is due to where the coolant hoses are routed. To fix this I still retained the later model coolant hose pipes and got a 5/8" hose with a preformed 90--as you can see it worked perfectly..

So this thing is almost ready to run..... Just need the missing parts...
 
All those loops in the fuel line around the air tank trap more fuel during a flop and or during sloshing. When the air pressure in the tank increases from warming up, the expanding air purges all the fuel out of the length of vent hose. Best to keep the hose short with less loops so it traps less fuel, therefore dumping less.

Yup, got it. They are sending it out today so you should recieve the box on Friday. Also, I am trying to get some brand new injectors sent to you as well. I plan on being there at the end of this month so Im hoping it will be ready to go.... :;

Mine is the same way and it works perfect. Its also only 1/4" hose so there isn't much volumn there. Also when you have slosh--you typicly get small amounts of fuel building up on the bottom of the wrap of line--not a line full of fuel--and when air is forced out of the vent and fluid is sitting on the bottom of the loop--it will force the fluid upwards and let the air escape past the fliud. This is what I have experianced. But yes if the hose is full of fuel it will be forced out..

I can get reman injectors and a 4 wire O2 sensor shipped to you for $150. Will take about a week to get there. Should I order this up or can you get locally for about the same price? Im not having any luck finding a knock sensor....anyone got one for sale?

Let me know if there is anything else you need me to get. I need to get Frankie to pick up the rear driveshaft and take that along with the front long travel kit over to get made asap as well....damn, so much to do and so little time. :mad:

hey crash and bill frankie here, sorry havent been around been having some family issues. uhm also i have been running around with a marine recruiter showing me the nots and ties of what i might be getting into,. yes i am possibly going into the marines with todays economy and hardly no work, and wanting to show my grandfather some respect and serving time in the military for my famly and i it seems like a great choice.
