trail riding help needed

We need some help with how to ride trails as far as picking lines, spotting and other such stuff. We consider our selves lightly experanced beginners.

We do have some time this weekend.

Please let me know on this thread for your ideas.

I must be honest that is a nice looking rear you have:kiss:

Who needs a club? Just go out and wheel. Practice practice practice. If you end up in a group, great, learn what you can and try some of the harder lines. Otherwise wheel at your own pace. Just go. The whole "please show me how to wheel" bit will get you nowhere fast.

well so far we have been up i think what is most of issabelle trail, we got to the point where it got really steep and rock filled and the reason why we stopped was that it was getting dark and running what we consider really hard stuff alone is a bad thing espically because we didn`t have our rear reciever wench with us.

I have that same exact sticker on my truck!!!:awesomework:

BTW i think the JK Ruby is a bad ass rig right off the showroom floor, just waiting for the oilpan/trans skid plate to come in (already dented oilpan twice) today or tomorrow. We are also going to get the oilpan replaced too.

Just shows you hung out with the wrong group. I have been wheeling with some of the same people since 79 more like family than friends anymore.

So back in your mid-thirties?:haha:

Not to hijack to far but I had a really good experience with the one and only club I had been affiliated with. I met cool people, long term friends on and off the trail. What ruined it was the person running the club.

Have you ever belonged to a club? I mean a real club not just some group off the internet that gives themselves a funny name and goes out to get drunk and wheel? Clubs are great but you have to be willing to put up with people who may differ from you. Its a great way for a noob to learn the ropes since I dont know of a "club" that will leave you on the trail to deal with your own problems.

I joined a club as a single female that knew diddly squat about wheeling and wanted to find a group of people that would take me under their wing and guide me...

heck I was 19 back then COMPLETELY new to wheeling... its been a long time since, and I have a lot of fondness for those times spent with that wheeling family. I made some long time friends out of that club.... in fact the board meeting is at my house this friday... 11 years in the club so far!

Clubs are all different, I just went with the biggest one first.... worked for me, I met lots of old dirty old men.... (they are always and contstantly working on the rig)

(j/k.... love ya dirtball and garytj...)

go have fun at karl's newbie run... just remember his favorite phrases are: you can do it / you can make that... just use the skinny pedal....
