....its what I got

they arnt stock in the rear. And the angle is past 45deg, way past. The only reason it looks level is because its facing downhill in my driveway. I dont think it looks that bad right now, i just dont want my rear tires tearing out my fenders..:looser:

and I was beginning to think this website was full of :masturbanana[1]: 's

...good to see people recognizing most of the people here are building there rigs by scraping every penny out of the piggy bank. I think for never doing anything like this to any rig before im doing ok.. Rear end didnt end up as high as I need it though. But I have some billet custom blocks from mega machine that will boost it up a little if need be.

build looks good I would hold off on the blocks the front will settle 1-2" after a few good trips.

Who's kit is that? And if your shackle angle is that far back on new springs its going to get worse i would move the rear hanger back about an inch

Exactly what im going to do. My rear hanger needs to go back a bit. will help with the height too. but is an inch back going to be sufficiant?

moved them back about 3" and now the shackles are almost str8. but the dont buckle under articulation. Ive maxed them out. These springs are pretty soft... work far better than I thought they would. Allthough ive never had a truck that had any "decent" parts on it.

First time she moved under her own power;

I was doing some welding on the rear hangers and noticed some fluid dripping out the front of my truck:booo: Come to find out my steering box is leaking out of the top. the big center bolt.. ive never seen them leak there before? always at the output shaft or lines. What would cause this and how do I fix it?

And it just started leaking on the way home from work today. took it around the block again and now its spuing out the top. is my box done for????

well when the damn bolt is only hand tight....

Did you just buy this truck? Seller probably fawked with it trying to take out some backlash in the steering. Tighten the center screw down until you're happy with the steering, and then tighten the nut.

the truck looks sick. :awesomework:

i always liked the way a truck looks right after its first finished, everything is all nice and black, and the body is usually straight and dent free. :masturbanana[1]:

Truck is looking good Jesse. Keep up the good work.:awesomework: Get some shocks on that thing.

Thanks Brian.

The other day a friend came over to help me stain the deck but it looked a little cloudy so we ditched the deck and grabbed the air compressor. A guy that actually knows what he is doing with a welder took my extra 3rd member and gears and set them up and welded the holy hell outa my carrier. So I was itch'n to get them swapped out.

after getting everything drained and both axles pulled and the old turby/v6 3rd out of there I slapped the welded one in there tightened all the bolts, hooked up the brake lines and dropped her on the ground. NEVER even thought about the flange differance from the v6 3rd to the 4 banger 3rd. So I was all pissed off, all that work for nothing. Called Brian and he tells me, "well Jesse, why dont ya just swap the flanges out?" I was so pissed I didnt even think about that. Whoever thought of the solid spacer idea instead of a crush sleeve was a genious!

So that got me going again and it wasnt 1 minute after I had a locked up rear end I drove right accross the street and into the ditch! :redneck: ...however my buddy was doing most the drinking while i was working and forgot how to work an "auto focos" :looser:

....Worked great i can walk through stuff pretty easy with the rear locked, but even with my axle foward I can still hit my firewall a little. I was thinking about trimming the fender out a little. Wont make it look to bad would it? if I tape my lines? what do you guys think?

whtever you do, dont lift it anymore, cut the fenders, and do yourself a huge favor and build a track bar, it will save you on parts later
