Wow lots of replys to this post. I dropped the buggy off at Pats last night. Didn't talk much but I can tell you it will be running an LS1 with Stak transfer case and a powerglide auto I think. Spidertrax axles is stepping up for me with Randy's guts and the pres of ARB in renton gave me sponsorship. Pitbull tires gave me 6 Rocker tires. I'm workin on gettin wheels. Its all really great. Brandon at Crawl magazine has placed a lot of faith in me and thinks it will be very interesting to see a kid go up against all of the national guys. There are 43 people that got the call for this race and they are all the best. My buggy was built by Nick Cappa for the Ultimate Adventure in 2002. Its the white fiberglass toyota. On top of everything else Crash is pullin my spotter line for me. I am hoping we won't be using that to much however. If I can't crawl over it we will be jumping over it. Good thing Mike has that kind of racing in his blood. I have wheeled with many different guys and wanted the best behind me if I am going against all of the biggest names is Rock Racing. Let me tell you I saw Shannon Cambell down in Pomona and that little rock buggy thingy is damn quick. So yea we are heading the the Hammers Feb 22nd to be rock stars for a weekend if thats all it lasts if anybody wants to come along and wrench for us. Thanks for all the support though. there are pictures on my myspace.. www.myspace.com/fidyrida

Saw it today at Pats shop. From what i can see sparks will be flying, as Pat will be turning that jalopy into a hopeful contender. I am sure there will be pics to come.

Mike better run fast then cause I'm bringin the heat for sure.. Just wait till next year when I run these local tough trucks with a truck thats really set up right. They better build some real jumps..:D ..Its gunna be on like Donkey Kong,.. Hope that Mike and I get to run the trails a day or two in advance before we go down there and break something during the race. Any advice or websites people have for Hammers stuff let me know..-Larry-

The trails at the Hammers are not that hard...just fun :redneck:

You will not need a spotter or spotter strap 99% of the time providing that you are confident with your driving abilities and the rig is set up accordingly.

It's the speed factor that is going to grenade the weak link...
