So I have a dana 44 out of a scout, the outer axle was ruined (ujoint caps cam off and hogged out the holes), so my question would any dana 44 outer axle work? Is it specific to a scout outer? Would one, say out of a chevy work? Are there different size, length, spline count? Thanks

I was having this problem for about a year, hairline cracks on the flare... I went to autozone and bought a 25 dollar hose with a lifetime warrenty :redneck: Went thru about 5 hoses before i finally replace the little brass cone bushing that the hose tightens against. Its been over a year since...

Spend a few hours/half a day and just do a head gasket on it, then drive to work, play in snow, go wheelin etc. Then take your time deciding about 22re, 4.3, LS1, cummins swap etc :D:beer:
