    Tom Woods offset u joints??

I ruined one once. It was my own fault so I put it back together with caps from another joint. It went another 4 years before it became loose and the needle bearings fell out. I called tom woods About the warranty and was honest about how it happened. They did not give me a free joint but they...

    Mounting H1s ??

Penetrating oil or dish liquid makes it much easier if if put a little on the contact points between the tire and insert. I've done it without help a few times, and never had a problem. The video below gives you the basic idea, but I've found that by placing the tire on 2-3 five gallon...

    205 output

I did this last year while upgrading to a 32 spline front output. It is a bit more of a pain if you do it without taking it out of the vehicle but I was able to get it back together. I found that it was impossible to line everything up unless I put a rag in the bottom of the back of the...

    Buggy build "Indecision"

Man it's looking good, but I have to ask. How many optima batteries does it take to start it? I'm counting at least 5.

    Tsl groove patterns

It took about 2 hours to cut them and clean it all up. I moved everything possible out away from the buggy to make the cleanup easier. Started with an electric chain saw on the first two tires and it was taking way to long. Moved to the gas chain saw and it was like a hot knife on butter.

    Tsl groove patterns

They are regular compound. I'd like to go to stickies this year but haven't had the funds yet.

    Tsl groove patterns

I did my sx's like this. It definitely made a big difference. I think other grove patterns may make the tires flex better but this has made a huge difference in forward traction. Not that it matters but My opinion is that your first choice would give better forward traction and your second...

    Superflext u joints in driveshafts

I run one one at the rear t-case output. It works well if you just need a little extra clearance on something that doesn't see highway speeds. its not a bandaid for major driveshaft issues but would probably be some cheap insurance in your case.

    sway-a-way air shock parts?

I have used poly performance and e-shocks.com. If you know the exact part numbers that you need I would go with e-shocks. Cheaper price and I got the parts the next day. If you need help figuring our what part numbers you are going to need just order from poly performance. Its worth paying...

    NP205 ??

Mine did the same thing. The problem started when I modified the plug that holds the spring and detent ball for the shift rail in. When I put a different plug in that put more pressure on the detent ball the problem was solved. I would check this before anything else. May just need a new spring.

    Two piece driveshaft?

I tried it without a slip and had all kinds of problems. I did make the drive shafts myself and they weren't perfectly balanced, so I am sure that contributed to the problem. but I have had no more problems since going to a slip on both sides. IMHO it is money well spent.

    toyota electric locker ?

Just remember that the big advantage of the hi Pinion is the fact that the gears are on the drive side instead of the coast side. Even though your drive shaft angle is good it sucks to break a front R&P on the trail. In my experience with running a Low Pinion with an ARB locker, the R&P...

    toyota electric locker ?

I have heard that it is common that they have trouble with one of the side gears. Think it has something to do with the way the side gear engages to lock. The ARB and the Elocker are both going to give you the same feel as if its welded when they are engaged. IMHO You are probably better off...

    air shock valving

I was hoping others on here had tried it. I got no desire to start a thread on pirate and just guess who actually knows what they are talking about. Might as well just go with trial and error. After reading a little more it seems that with 5 shim plates top and bottom the actual valving is...

    air shock valving

I am currently running 2.5 SAW Air shocks on both front and rear of my buggy. Not sure if any of this matters, but its your standard old school GM 1 ton drivetrain tbi 350 th400 klunev, np205, 3 seater buggy 124 inch wheelbase. Not exactly lightweight, but I have seen heavier buggies out...

Gm 1 wire alternator on a toyota

I've been considering upgrading my alternator too. Hope this isn't too much of a derail, but what seems to be the best amp alternator for what we do? Can too many amps be a bad thing?

    NP 205 help (UPDATED)

I finally got this done today. The ford output slips right in place of the chevy front output. I did not have any problems with the needle bearings. Just used a little assembly lube to keep them in place. I did the swap without dropping the t-case from my buggy. Once you remove the rear...
