one thing i always liked about the cherocars is the center consul shifter. works good for rocking rig back n forth in hairy situations and whatnot. you kinda get a feel for it so you dont always hafta look down to get it in the right gear. any auto guys out there who can work a column shift without looking? seems like it would be harder, but maybe it's all in what your used to??
i ask cuz i have considered building up my pos 5.0 exploder someday, but the stupid column shifter,.... :eeek:

I wheeled the **** out of my Chebby p/u with factory column shift. After being stuck 100's of times the 1st to Rev became muscle memory.

With that being said my Art Carr shifter in the Toy is Fawesome.

The only down side Ive found to a console shifter is when I hit somehing hard enough that stops the truck my dog flys forward and knocks it into neutral. Then he looks up at me like 'why did you do that?'
