Sounds like you had a great time, congrats. I wheeled with Elvis out in Moab a couple years back, interesting character.
You meet that crazy ass Australian named Ben?

I guess racing ain't for everybody. I think it was all the TV cameras and helicopters that freaked him out Lol.
The hoops ripped off because of the lack of gusseting, being welded directly to the Toyota frame and the beating they took in the woops. Before they came off the truck felt and handled well in the desert. So, plate the frame, make new shock hoops, remount air bumps, gusset everything and a bunch of other stuff so I can go wheeling.
Sorry I did not stop by and say Hi.
Was a crazy week for us and trying to keep Jeep together. Dont worry we got lost on qualifying also

Back when we raced ,we had the shock hoops tied to the engine cage with plates on both sides, bolted together. I t was not allowed and we quick welded so hoops to the frame . With the same results, except ours ripped off and knocked the oil filter off. DNFI'm sure the ex co-driver is kicking his own ass enough that it isn't really needed from anyone else.
Is it against the rules to have shock hoop connector bars or tie-ins to the rest of your tube work? or was just over looked?

Yea, if the schedule stays the same we are going to try and make it to the Big Sky 200 in Broadview, MT in May.
Got my fuel cell and new engine!
Why the switch from propane and propane accessories?
