Taurus Fan

I used a fixed 180* thermo fan controller to switch on a 80A continuous duty solenoid ($39 from West Marine). The solenoid can handle the high startup current without melting. (I melted many 30A and 40A relays before I got tired of it and finally bought the solenoid.) Do it right the first time!

What is the part # for the fan controller and where do I get one?

I just used one of the Hayden fan controllers that you can get at Pep Boys, or Schucks, etc. It is just used to switch on the solenoid. I have tried them all, and the fixed temperature (non-adjustable) ones seem to last a long time. The adjustable ones seem to burn out pretty quickly. I have a writeup on Yotatech that I did a few years ago. http://www.yotatech.com/f116/taurus-fan-install-writeup-3-0-v6-14622/
