Has anyone ground down the head of the pin holding the windshield to the hinge on a tj to remove the pin and used a nut and bolt for a quick release set up? I was thinking about doing this on mine just wanted to make sure I wouldn't run into any problems.

the stud that the hinge pivots on is actually two pieces that are pressed into each other from opposite ends.

I ended up cutting the outer portion of the hinge from either end till I could get that pressed stud apart. Would up with less material than I'd like but its working still. It was stupid slow going pain in the ass and took alot longer than I expected.

I bought some pins from McMaster Carr that are the right size that someone somewhere suggested.
