My wifes buggy.

Well I thought I would add some content on my build.
My wife has been talking about building her CJ 7 up for a while. Then at a campout she talked to Shawn At Codys Offroad (Fl-krawler) and she gave up the CJ idea and wants a buggy. So I talked to Shawn and hes building me a chassis.

Plans for now are a 4 seater with about a 110 wheelbase Ls1 auto tranny and dana 300 with Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear with 5.89 gears. We have 19.44.16.5 boggers for the rear and 18.44.16.5 TSL's for the front on a 14 inch beadlock but will sell the rims and go to a narrower rim.







The grill, hood and cowl is cut down 3 inches and narrowed 5 inches

Here is the problem with the transfer case. The yoke is covered by the tranny pan.

The front is just in sitting in it for measurements right now.

What transmission are you using?

4L60E. and the Dana 300. Im going to put a Doubler in between them.

203 or d.d. machine style?

Im looking at the Box4rocks now.

Got the rims in

The transfer case doubler got built and installed this weekend. It solves the problem of clearance with the tranny pan and give me another 2.72 lowrange on top of my dana 300.

Can we get some close ups of the doubler? I am wondering if there's waffles all over it from the framed sitting there.

Oh well, I just got the tranny/trans case mounted and the lowers links ont the front done.

Well just for you, I got the suspension links planned out and ran.

Also got the front shocks mounted and some more tube work done. Didnt get alot of pictures tho. (and the ones I got are really crappy cell phone pics)I'll try to get some better ones next weekend.

Who did the narrowing of the CJ7 grill? Nearly looks stock in that picture.

Buggy is coming along nicely. Any idea on completion time?

I did the grill,hood and cowl. They all need a little work but its not alot compared to how bad it could of went. Hopin to have it done in about a year. Time and money kinda slows it down.

Not only has the grill been narrowed, but a 3" section of height has been chopped out of it to. Scott did a really good job cutting the hood. I gave him some brief instructions (Really Vague) on how to cut all the3 parts and more or less how much to cut, and then I left the shop. When I returned he had everything cut, and to my surprise needed very little work for what I think was his first time narrowing those times of parts.

Here are some better pics of the buggy I am hoping to move into a new, much larger shop in the next few weeks and this should be the first buggy completed there.
