Should have flex pics in a day or two. Pic of front hanger is with no weight at all. And the engine mounts still have alot of gussets yet to be put in place. I really need to get this thing rolling again so i can get ready to head back to school.

Got it finally sitting on its own weight. Rides high but nothing i can do about it with leaf springs. Frame twists alot but the cage will fix that. Engine and trans are in in the pics.

No the 383 is not going in before i go back to school. Its too nice to be mated to that nasty tranny lol. Gotta go through the trans as well.

12 hours of work and its all together minus rocker arms, oil pickup and a few small things. But the important parts are good. Checked everything known to man in the clearence department. Everything checked out good. Tired as hell but here are some pics.

The 42s in the pictures are now sold. Im getting some 39.5 TSLs and H1s for it, going to have to recenter them. The engine will be somewhere in the 460hp range. Going to put a reverse manual valve body and 2,000 stall converter in the trans. Should have more progress this summer. I am a full time student at Texas Tech University and my rig is 450 miles from where i am, so work is rare.

Looks like a fun project. I'm curious how a glass windshield was rusty, in the first pics.

That is a piece of sheet metal the PO put there to keep the interior out of the weather. thumb.gif

Cool build :dblthumb:

I would move the shackle hangers forward to get around 45* on the shackle angle. It will improve ride quality and lower your ride height some

Cool build. Love that body style. Good on you for bringing one out of the field

Awesome build... I hope your frame will help the fram twisting. I have a 62 willys that I ended up boxing te crap out of because the fram kept braking.. Keep up the cool build!

You need to box that frame if your going to do more than drive that truck on the street. A year of wheelin and that thing will be toast in it's current state.

Its no weaker than a chevy truck frame, they are the same material and thickness. I am however boxing it from front to rear. The cage will also be going front to rear.
