The "Clank" in Kaistie's rig was his rear driveshaft, he had a spare so we swapped it out and it gave me a chance to let my blood pressure comedown. While we were under Nate's rig we also noticed that his pinion was turned up which was caused by a bent main leaf spring and a broken and crowned spring perch on the non-bent side. Nate was gonna be idling the rest of the way out from here.
50 yards after the repair we got to the spot that I was actually scared of. it has a tendancy to flop you into the wall, then right after that was the rock garden with rocks as big and 44 swampers strategically placed to really get you screwed up.
Here's the only pic I got of Nate on the bad spot cos I was trying to spot him through and we kept hearing more "clanks" from the rear driveline so we opted for the rope;
I was really psyched out about this now, but I ended up walkin right through with the help of Joe as Nate kept goin through the rock garden to the big waterfall which was only 40 yards or so away....... I was pickin my way through the rock garden When Jow came up and he made it without issue other than lifting his rear tire 5 feet in the air again......
Here's Nate takin a break and eatin somethin before the last 100 yards of hell..... or heaven dependin on your perspective.....He is on top of this waterfall that we kinda go around cos the fall is 15' and all undercut;
From here it was just the out road back to the trailers;
Was a frustrating day with all my sheetmetal and glass, I wadded up my brand new rear driveshaft from highangle but it was a fun day with these guys..... I'm puttin this trail on the "been there, done that.....Dont need to do it again" list.
