    Tahuya Anarchy hill

I was really digging that video until the trail marker got run over. Those rocks up there are no joke! Slick as a river bottom or a tide pool. Something should be done to shore them up from moving as that is just going to lead to more damage.

    best snow tires?????????????

Get some chains that fit your tire and wheel combo and you will then have the best snow tire for wheeling that you can.

    Tahuya this weekend ?

My wife and I took our big chevy out there at the end of 2008 before I deployed. I thought it was a really well laid out trail system with a little bit of everything. I didn't have the traction or extraction to challenge the rock gardens but hopefully I can rectify that in the next year.

72" wide width restriction at Evans Creek?

I like the idea of having a "gatekeeper" like obstacle toward the beginning of the trail. Having lived and wheeled in both Colorado and SoCal I can honestly say that one of their biggest problems is that stock-ish vehicles can get too far into fairly technical trails. Often they get into a...

    evans creek issues

I like having the idea of a "gatekeeper". Having lived and wheeled in both Colorado and SoCal I can honestly say that a big problem down there is that the trail systems often allow for underbuilt or stock style vehicles to get past points of no return. Those vehicles then get stuck or broken...

    Another stupid tire debate

TSL is a great tire. I like the wide 33 inch tire more than the tall skinny one. More stability and wider foot print are both things I like.

    What's this worth ?

I've ridden in a rig powered with the holley off road carb and it did okay; way better then the off road card edelbrock makes and I own. A good friend of mine tried to run a holley double pumper on his off road rig. That was also a lousy carb for that application.

    im lost

When you say that you angled the driveline up do you meen that your axle pinion was facing down or near level, and that adjusting it made the angle closer to straight in line with the drive shaft? I just wanted to clarify because the tendency of a rear axle is for the yoke to try and move up...

    What's this worth ?

I would look towards the lower end of that range. I noticed he choke linkage is all gone too. Maybe some rat rod guy would jump at it though because it is certainly an odd looking item for a Holley.

    gauge adapter?

I don't know how your gauge is set up but usually the fittings for that hose are of a crush style. That allows you to make your tube whatever length you want it to be. Some guys just leave it coiled but I agree that makes for a sloppy installation. When you route the tube the heat from the...

Elbe Rock crawl and Rainier Vista

Wow! That should be a lot of fun when it is complete. The rocky hill climb that was built in Tahuya makes the long drive out there well worth it!

    Good deals on tow rigs

I'm sure teh weight ratings are good, but that has nothing to do with the power or mileage. I'm sure you've seen or been stuck behind that guy going 35 up the interstate because his truck doesnt have the guts to pull what is in tow. Also the braking systems on a 1/2 ton are not as well...
