I managed to forget spare front shafts so I imagine we'll break a few 1st trip up the mountain.

Yessir, haven't hardly wheeled this year due to goofy work schedules so we're definitely itching.

    Is anyone actually riding?

Oh, and some guy offered me 80k for my buggy. . Sounded pretty serious but I turned him down since I didn't want to be rigless. Looking back, I could've easily bought something decent and had a bunch leftover to make it really nice. Hopefully I come across him again.

    Is anyone actually riding?

Made it out for a bit yesterday. Nothing spectacular but a good time still. Just the wife and kids along. She made a couple of climbs that surprised both of us. One of which was a steep dirt hill that, of course, had an unfortunately placed boulder in the middle of it. After I got out the top I...

Trying to get it mostly right the first time: A 5.9 Magnum and 46RE swapped, Tummy Tucked Daily Driven Jeep TJ

I might have missed it but you have to do anything creative to get the factory gauge to talk to the 5.9 sending unit? And good call on the mechanical gauge. I'd definitely want to know what's up. Fwiw, my 6.0 had decently high miles but I've just run 20w50 in it and it's been good so far.

I don't know much about the 5.9's, is that considered normal oil pressure at 2k?

    Scan Tools

I'm not gonna drop names but a buddy reached out with a loaner scan tool if I do end up tackling this myself. Appreciate the suggestions though.

    Scan Tools

I'm assuming a bad batch made for 2017-18. They use the same parts from 12-18, then changed in 19. I found a wrecked 18 that the salvage yard wants $300 for the unit. Might go that route but also expecting a recall sooner or later so part of me wants to wait and see. The truck sits most of the...

    Scan Tools

So the backordered part shows up as available on mopars site. I called to confirm and much to the surprise of the guy helping me, there's only 150 units in the country and they're all reserve allocated or something like that. Basically means they can't be released due to a potential issue. I've...

    Scan Tools

So I recently got "service abs and electronic braking system" messages on my 2018 ram 3500. Internet searching confirmed what the dealership said that it needs a new abs module and hydraulic control unit. Apparently is a well known issue that the NHTSA has opened an investigation on. Hopefully...

Diesel fuel is in short supply

Still sucks that some stations will jack up the price to offset the fleet discount.
