for some reason the 208 has a deeper "snout" so it bottomed out before the mating surface was flat, no idea on the 205..

I was told a DODGE will bolt to the ford but have yet to confirm it, not sure I want to pay $250 for a dodge 208 and that is the only one I have found.

for a first welder all I can say is get it from a WELDING STORE, that is all 110 is fine but don't get it from HF or Home Depot or KMART etc..

so far I took my ford 208 apart and a cheby 208 and attempted to mix n match but the cases are just too different. Inputs are the same though.. I guess the 205 is next on the list but people think they are made of gold ($250 for a crappy ratio tcase???) Of couse the atlas 4sp is my dream case...
