    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Oh, and the top is officially toast. Tore a hole I could crawl through in it last weekend. Hahaha. It was a crusty old top anyway. But black is the only color I can get for replacement now. I also bought a bikini top for it and in a month or so, I can just leave that on it (actually I've...

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Haha, that's it! LOL. Nothing like the PNW. You guys have no idea how grateful you should be. Protect it so you don't lose it. I am planning a wheeling vacation in a few weeks, but the place we are going might not be open. It's a private park that a lot of events are held, even some US...

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Haha, yes...I've been thinking the same thing. It's lame by 1987 they didn't put discs on the front at least.

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Well, took it on a shake down run today. I was really happy with it, well balanced, gears are low enough (that was my biggest concern) and the turbo diesel kicks ass! Man, I'd love to have one in the US. When I need more wheel speed, I just put it in 4H and the turbo kicked in and really...

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Interesting. If I brought anything to the US it would be something along these lines. http://www.luxuryimports.ca/forsale/1990HZJ73-1/index.php I don't know why Toyota never imported these here. I think they would have sold very well. I've seen several built up pretty nicely here.

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Haha Bruce! The tires are Yokohama Geolander MT+. Only affordable, agressive tire I could get here. It's pretty agressive looking, better than the BFG ATs that were on it. The turbo diesel works great. I've had it in low gear and it seems to work just fine. I would prefer lower gears...

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Haha, I'm used to it by now Scott. Although the young high school kids sure are a lot taller! They blame Mc Donalds and American food. They're probably right.

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

Thanks guys. I'd love to bring this back with me, but they never went through all the DOT crap to be imported, so I'd basically have to do it myself. I doubt it's up to 1987 US standards, so basically it's not worth it. These Jeeps were manufactured under license from Jeep starting in 1953 I...

    Jap Jeep "Build Up" LOL

This is my '87 Mitsubishi Jeep I recently acquired after learning I'll be in Japan another year. I needed something to wheel with and there are at least 4 areas within a few hours drive to wheel. The closest is about 30 mins. It's all pretty tame by American standards, so the Jeep is...

Truck Drives off mountain from String Trail (4W309)

Wow, scary. So if I understand, they drove off the trail where Ceg took the pics from intentionally to get to the bottom quicker? Even from the pics you can tell how steep that is and I know the camera doesn't show incline very well. What were they thinking?

    Reiter foothills

Well, hopefully that settles things and we can get back to answering Charlie's original request for help, which BTW is a very common thing done through out the country and even this state. Somehow a few people always seem to try and derail these efforts, thanks Crash for moderating that.

    Bunch 'O Pics from Ellensburg...

Open containers behind the wheel of a motor vehicle is illegal in this state. And that's just in your car, not in your hand like this pic shows. He does not have to have his lips on the bottle. Now if it was sealed and not opened, he'd be fine. Thread closed. Eeveryone has had their say.
