    You have plans to sleeve your rear control arms? The factory ones like to bend. Mine are sleeved in .250 wall and still managed to get a little curve to them.

    You are gonna like how the 80 wheels. I have a triple locked 80 w/ case gears, 5.29s and hydro assist on 37s. It is objectively more capable than my v8 cj7 on tons and 40” stickies. Might want to look into fabbing up a simple gas tank skid, they are a big target to hit under there!

    I am gonna be at Good Evening Ranch July 7-9, w/ a group of mildish rigs. I am riding with in my 80 series on 37s, but i am also bringing my jeep on tons and stickies in case i feel like getting a little rowdy. Anyone gonna be riding up there that weekend that wants to do some harder trails...

    Standard transmission in a rock buggy?

    I run a stock 5.3 mated to a 93 nv4500 (from a commercial delivery truck) mated to a 4:1 dana 300. 4.88s in the axles and it crawls very well for east coast stuff. It is plenty slow for what we have out here, and I can go 80 on the interstate w/ the motor running not too fast w/ 39s. That...
