i have yet to cross over to the dark side and get an AGM battery. ive always been happy with a conventional battery. but being how you can mount a dry one however you want makes them pretty versitale. ill have to get one someday and see how i like them for myself.

i havent tried those connectors before, but ive never had i problem with just using heat shrink over an uninsulated connector thats been soldered. i use two pieces and overlap them when im worried about water getting into them. as long as it fully seals around the wire. and never had a comeback...

i say do it yourself. its not too difficult. you should be able to do it just fine. maybe read up about it first so you have an idea. then you will know how to do it the next time when u get even lower gears.

im gunna try to make it out there. probably wont be there that early but keep an eye out for me on the trails. either a maroon 4runner or black wrangler with grey doors.
