Not much for updates right now. Rear portion of tube work is almost finished. The front is getting completely cut off again due to a change in shock mounting location to clear the new wheels. Here are a few pics of the buggy being loaded and moved to its new home at the new shop...

    Tattoos and employment

Same for the sheriff's office I worked for. As a registered nurse the rule is no visible tattoos.. Most nurses cover theirs with a long sleeve under shirt worn under their scrubs or they cover them with a wrap or bandage.

Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been super busy this month with the new shop and hoping to start moving in the new building next month. We just added a Haas VF3 and hopefully purchasing a Mori Seiki SL25 next week https://imgur.com/Uzn66hs Hopefully I'll get back on this build soon

Questions i have about buggy building.

If you plan on competing the organization that writes the rules on chassis requirements is a good place to start. Chassis design also has a lot to do with what size tubing you can run and have something that is safe. 95% of the chassis I build are 1.75" x .120 wall or 2" x .120 wall DOM tubing...

Only got a few hours in this morning on this. Cycled the suspension to make sure everything cleared. 45* of steering is no problem up front Chassis has to come off the table tomorrow to free my table up for some customer work. In the meantime I'm going to try and get the front axle...

Got the suspension set up at full stuff today and threw a tire on. My original plan of mounting the shocks off the backside of the steering C is not going to work due to clearance issues with the tire and lower control arm mounting bolt. I have a plan in the works to mount them more...

Doing dyno pulls with more gear reduction typically result in a lower rear wheel horse power number. Some chassis dyno's can actually be programmed with tire size and gear ratio so they will compensate.

A few more updates. I hope to have the front shocks, control arms, and steering all mounted by Sunday so I can move on to the rear axle build. Steering arms almost finished Finished out the rear roof portion of the chassis. I had cleaned my table off but unfortunately it has become a...

Why are all truck drivers big pieces of ****?

On the topic of GPS, I have found the Good Sam GPS works well for oversized rigs and trailers

Mathematically if you have the typical 40% parasitic loss in the drivetrain, you are still north of 525hp at the crank. I am running a similar build but with a more aggressive cam, 90lb/hr injectors and I had to throw 10psi of boost at it to get north of 700hp.I'm looking forward to seeing what...

Roll cage tie in...bushings or not?

I very rarely build cages with bushings. Most don't notice the difference between bushing or no bushing

Help find a N11 spindle nut socket for a 40 spline spindle

If you have a local CNC plasma shop they can scan the nut into an image, dimension it and cut out a ring that could be welded to the end of a socket, or cut into a wrench

Finally getting some time to resume work on this build after working a **** ton of hours the last 2 months at my nursing job. Started the assembly of the new front axle housing. The trail gear housing was about 0.080" out of alignment so it took a few hours to get the housing straight before I...

The way I have it planned to run the plumbing, I shouldn't have any issues with air. There will be a surge tank just behind the supercharger that will be the highest point in the cooling system. with that said, I am planning a bleed screw just in case. Both radiators will pull cool air from the...

I got off work a few hours early today so I decided to throw a few tubes on the chassis. Chassis has to come off the table tomorrow to build another chassis for someone else, so the updates will be slow for a few weeks. I plan to start the axle builds here this next week, since my new housings...
