I think I found the problem. When I installed the gears, I must of missed a small piece of styrofoam from the new bearings. It was in the breather hose. I'll have to drive it around and see if that was it. Thanks for the help guys.
I have a 79 F250 4x4 and the D44 is leaking oil out the breather hose even when it hasn't been in 4 wheel drive in months. I checked and everthing is disengauged(the Tcase, hubs). I don't get it. Any ideas?
I had the same problem with my 460. I sprayed it with PB blaster for a couple days and worked it loose with a big pair of channel locks. Then while turning I gave it alittle prying up to get it out. Good luck.
I'm in the need of front and rear U bolts for my truck and cant see spending $25 on shipping alone. So where is a good local place to have a couple of pairs made? I live north of Seattle
The 99 does have the metric wheel pattern. I havent seen or herd of any one making a hub to go to metric (just the other way around). The only thing that I know would wheel adapters from like a dapt it usa wheel adapters. Maybe someone else might know of something else. Good luck
I would start with thw easy stuff first.
1) make sure plug wirees are in the right order
2) dist. might be just to far advanced or retarded
3) make sure all sensors are plugged in
4) is there gas in the truck?
give that a try (if you haven't already) and see what happens
Damn. I was really looking forward to the posi. I haven't bought it yet(Trying to get the money together for front and rear). Thanks guys for the replies. I might just order gears and install kits and do it my self(for about the price)
