will a third gen Toyota truck bed fit a first gen Toyota truck?? are the mounting brackets the same or different?

my truck wont start until I prime it.. than it runs ok but I have to prime it everytime I start it.. I changed the accelerator pump diaphragm and the Aux pump diaphragm but still not starting.. any ideas???

checked them both they were fine... it will start run and then just die...sometimes it will start right away and then sometimes it wont start at all..:mad:

I checked full pump and its ok... now I went over put key in and it started right up..i drove it home and it keeps starting.. I just took it for a drive got 1 or so miles from home in 4th gear and it died..sat for maybe 10min and it started..could it be choke?? or the floats sticking and not...

checked out timing chain rotated the engine till top dead center rotor was on #1 wire... checked coil its ok.. igniter checked out ok.. got into truck turnd key and it started and ran till gas I primed with ran out..so I put more in and it wouldn't start..HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM im thinking carb??

I have a 1983 Toyota 4x4 pickup 22r 5speed..i was driving and it just died on me..i tried to put gas in carb to start it but nothing..it turns over but wont start.. if it was the fuel pump wouldn't it still start when I put gas in the carb?? what could it be?? im not much of an mechanic so any...

ive done it a few times .. just with needle nose it can be a B---h.. was hopeing theres a tool to make it easier.. stoped at a freinds house and he had a tool for the job.. so they do make one..

i have an 1983 toyota 4x4 do they make any ind of tool to put those little springs in on the rear brakes?? the two that hold the brakes pads on? this is a drum brake..you got a washer with a slot in it than you put the spring on than another washer with slot and you need to push it all...

yes the clutch pedal feels the same as always...it does grind when shifting gears..yes the shift patteren is sloppy.. im sure it need a compleate rebuild..

sometimes when i try to shift into gear it wont go.. and sometimes when i down shift it wont go into gear also ... I have to pop the clutch pedal a couple times then it make a banging sound then i can shift into gear..Whats up with that??? is it the clutch???? trani???? Help !!!!

took mine out and they fell apart.. went to toyota dealer to see if any of there machanics could put them together for me and one of the springs came up missing..hmmmmmmmmmmmm so now i need to get a new spring.. this is a straight axel by the way... I doubt that they make a rebuild kit..or...

its stock.. cv???? how can i tell that? im not much of a machanic as you can see..
