I'd be all over it, but not as a primary rig. I think many of these folks aren't seeing where 1:18 scale fits into the bigger picture. I likely will get one after some time... :cool:

Yeah but he mentioned the ARTR. :D The Axial RTR seems just Ok to me. You'll either be completely satisfied and having fun, or kicking yourself for not just ponying up for the comp class rig. Seems like there's a lot of plastic vs. the comp. Check out the Losi specs and you'll see what...

The Losi comes ready to drive, the Axial needs quite a few parts yet to drive. All said and done the Axial is probably twice the cost. Either way, it's not meant to replace the comp rigs - its more of a fun one. I been doing a bit of research on this (just bought a CR-01 today). :redneck:

How do you figure that? Proper use of the frame/bumper method consists of ratcheting it down to the bump stops, meaning no "snap and slack". :awesomework: Furthermore you lose any "snap and slack" of the suspended weight bouncing around up top. :corn:

I've seen the "Optima bashing" threads many times. The trouble is that most folks don't specify which color they're running. Typically the issues are with the reds. They can't sit un-used for very long, and they can't take a full discharge...at all. Get yourself a yellow or blue and you'll...

I was out on Tinkham last Wednesday - getting the tree with the family. There was really no snow to talk of. :booo: There might be more now, but doubt there is a whole lot. Darn warm weather and rain hit the pass too. :mad:

Well, it turned out to be an exhaust leak - go figure. I had purchased a new cat-back a month ago, finally had a chance to install it yesterday. No more sound. :D The old exhaust was looking pretty sad, and there was a crack in the muffler itself. That was probably the culprit...and it...

Would there be any other signs? The engine runs fine during all this, doesn't appear to lose power when the sound is happening.
