The poly ends or if you put some sort of plastic/rubber/poly impact surface material on the axle to quite down, the metal/aluminum end tears it up in a hurry, at least that's been my experience.

I have Bilsteins I think in the front...they have a metal/aluminum contact surface and are noisy as hell, but I guess you get used to it. They've been up there for at least 4-5 years now and still work great.

I've been running a Derale plate cooler on my C4 down here in 120 degree heat...the tranny has never got above 180 in the pan. Run pretty much the same setup for power steering...

For an EFI system does it really matter what end of the system you mount the regulator at? Obviously the closer to the motor it is the less length of pressurized hose you have, but that also means the longer the length of the return/bypass hose.
