    Spokane/CD'A area wheeling?

The Compressor trail is still open and legal, but may be more trail then my daily driver with no lockers is capable of. We just got a house in Bonners Ferry on 5 acres. Once moved in I plan on hunting around for some trails to run.

    Spokane/CD'A area wheeling?

Other then 7 mile, where is the wheeling? I have heard of and seen a few trail heads, but most don't seem to be legal. I was told that to wheel there I would have to be in and out of sight as fast I can and the same for when leaving. I don't feel like being shot or ticketed for trying to have...

    NOT Epic Elbe trip 2/23

Ya I wanted to hit Elbe, but with having to do the work on it now I am not sure I would have it together fast enough to make it. Wife is now making noise about a snow trip that day cause she already took it off.

Well it looks like this wont happen. Most have bailed and I lost a rod end this morning. So now I have to fix that and replace the lower rear arms that I saw are bent while looking it over after the rod end failed. Just my luck.

Hence why we are still wheeling even in a light duty rig. I take my two boys with me every time and they just love it. When we stop to eat they tend to find the biggest mud hole and jump right in. The next more capable rig I build will be with their help. Can't wait to get started on it. Being...

    NOT Epic Elbe trip 2/23

Ya I was thinking we would just avoid the Busy all together. We will just run the other trails and play around for a while. Kinda sucks not having a more capable rig now a days, but once the boys are older I will be able to build another good one. Until then the light stuff will have to do.

Ya, most of, if any, of the rigs are set up to run the busy. I have not seen the upper part of the trail, but have been told it is a lot more mild. This true?

Nice! I am on a 33" A/T and open open so we wont be running anything too crazy.

    NOT Epic Elbe trip 2/23

So for my birthday I want to hit Elbe. Been once a few months back on 31s and ran I think Alder and then another train with one real deep trench (deep as my jeep is tall) then hit a mucky section with a few different lines through the trees (if you know what trail I am talking about could you...

HB 2150, Recreational Immunity is moving to Exec!

Done. WA land owners need this as do 4x4, ATV, dirt bike users.

    87 tbi 454

Makes sense. I would look into a trade for a 350. Someone a few posts back offered a TBI 350 for trade. I would look into it. The weight would be better for what you are wanting to do.

This to me says SBC. The BBC is a heavy motor and would not lend well to a mild rig in the sand. If you have run the LS motors in the past then why not go that way?

I think you missed what I wrote all together. Never said the TBI was better, or that it had more power then an LS. I said you can't compare an LS to an 80's TBI motor cause they are two different worlds. I have dealt with both and know the LS is a better power maker. He was asking about the 454...

Not fair to compare the late 80's TBI to the newer LS engines as far as power and MPG. The LS was built to replace the motor and fueling that replaced the 80's TBI. I would want the 454 TBI in a crew cab 4x4 long bed. You are going to want the torque and can do mild easy mods to build a bit more...
