the motor doesnt have more than 15,000 miles on it. Nothing i have done has changed anything, when i unpluged the TPS it idled at 500rpm which is up from the 300.

Not sure on the fuel pressure, fuel pump and filter may be in store soon. zukkev i'll give that a try. it almost acks like a fuel issue, just not sure yet

well, that didnt work. It seems to take off better if im real easy in the throttle, then at like 3000rpm it seems to just take off like it should.

Ok, not sure whats going on. It(86 4 runner 22RE) ran fine earlier in the day yesterday, then late last night it just ran rough and didnt want to idle from start up. Today checked air filter, leak in intake hose,cap & rotor, wires, looked for vacume leaks, checked all the plugs ins. It seems to...

new switch will be in tomarrow night, i have never seen anything like it. so i got it running, fired up great but i move the key a touch and itll die sometimes and sometimes run. that is the damdest thing. thank you for the fast response guys.

ok,NEVER seen this. I think chop shop may be on to somthing. just went out and played with the key trying to start it and it fired up but if i would allow the key to move game over. how does that work? is there somthing in the key switch that makes connections to allow it to continue to run? am...

Ill give number one a try, dont think its it but worth a try. while cranking it wont fire at all, but as you let off its as iff 1 cyl will fire once then nothing. thanks for the try.

Ok here is the deal, I think im taking out ignition boxes. put a new one in today and fires right up like ive been running it all day, stop and start a few times on and off with no issue. it sits for a few hours and all itll do is crank like mad and sputter when i let off the key, like one cyl...
