Toyota people, please help. Need suggestions...

Yep it docent happen very often the couple that I fought must have been rattling for some time cause one had a large chunk of the CAT stuck in a bend of the tail pipe (that was fun to fish out of there), and the other (my 84 Toyota truck) went from ran great to it only would idle and foul plugs...

    Piston marks?

good point! like on that Escort I was going to try and run with just the new head and some spots on the piston that looked like that, well curiosity got to me so I decided I better pull the piston out. Thankfully I did cause I found the majority of the lower part of the piston was in the pan...

    Piston marks?

I agree. I had this happen one time after replacing a head on a Escort that had a valve seat explode. After the new head was installed I found that it had blown chunks of valve seat up into the air cleaner where it was more then happy the get sucked right back down into the new head.

Sounds like a plugged CAT to me. Pull the O2 Sensor or drop the pipe and see if it revs up then.

    Chev TBI issue

I could suspect some carbon build-up on the valves or valve guides. Might try a decarbon like a MotorVac service. Pulling something like Seafoam in on a vacuum line can work also. Little dangerious if you dont know how to do it.

    84 toyota 22r charging problem

I don't know the Amps. Toyota used two different systems the electrical plugs at the regulator and the alternator pinout and function differently from each other. I made a cheat sheet to help figure these out but its drawn on the shop wall at my old house. :haha:

    84 toyota 22r charging problem

I been in this situation a few times now> not fun times. One was X4 bad/wrong voltage regulators from 2 different company's, ended up getting a used correct regulator to fix it. this may help quote from Identifix

    GM 5.3L Stumbles When Cold

 if you can jump the FP relay is best, but while running should yield the similar results. Yours is 55-62 so if it hits 55 yours is fine, if it only hits 50 its not working good edit: I have had a rig like yours not start but barely some times at 51PSI

    GM 5.3L Stumbles When Cold

Sounds like with a P0300 you may want to check fuel PSI if that intake seal docent seem to be leaking.

2003 How old is the battery? if it's original its junk by now. If the battery goes low while starting it, the computer has no basics to work from. Just an idea to work with, a 55K rig should have min. problems like this, so im thinking basics. Also have you PSI washed the motor? if so there...
