Fix it or just sell it?

My 2004 Rubicon is getting a complete rear axle warrantee replacement, side to side, complete. The replacement was warranteed because there is a hairline crack in the housing where the upper left control arm mount sits. Looks totally fixable, but the shop told the warrantee people the labor to...

    Christmas tree run suggestions?

What started as a group of us taking a few Subarus up FSR 70 out of Greenwater to getr trees has turned into an annual thing. Maybe 10-11 years running, we meet at Mikky D's in Enumclaw at 9:00 a.m. and head out at 9:30. We set up a base at the gravel pit and go up fro there in groups. We're...

    Evans Creek improvements...

Didn't mean it like that. I'm just saying that I've been running all of those trails open diff'd for 10 + years. There's no need to bring giant buggies, you'll be bored. As mentioned in a post above, a stock jeep can do them all, and by all rights should be able to use the trails. EC ain't...

    Evans Creek improvements...

My first trip to EC was in 96, went wtih a group of 5 completely stock soobs on 13 inch street tires. We made it thru several of the trails, had to push and shove a few times, but we made it. Evans isn't easier now, it's been beat to snot. The "worm trail" is worn down so much that you can't...

First, thanks to you guys for your patient answers and opinions. Mucho Gracias. I went with the 4.88s, and think I am happy I did. At least for on the road. It's never gonna be a race car, but the speedo is perfectly on the money now, had my wife pace me at several speeds. I was able to use...
