Rigs were Me in the Runner, Brad in the Buggy, Jordan in his newly shortened Runner after his "accident", Alex in his Flatbed Yota, and Derrik in the big blue Yota that he just built w/ the 4.3 / 4L60E / Dual Case / 42" IROK setup...

So not too far up the trail we had to stop, Derrik's truck was running hot and had a plug wire laying on the header.... Chevy Repair...

THEN... we go further up the trail... and the 4.3 starts to sound a little more and more like a diesel... so he turned around to head back down, and we went part way back down and took another road to get into some more snow...

Alex was hearing some noises from under the hood, so he popped it open to find a **** load of snow packed in the engine compartment...

Then we decided to come back down... and we come around the corner... and there was Derrik and his Passenger walking up the trail... apparently they didn't make it to far before the truck started making REAL bad noises, so they were walking looking for us. We went back down, Derrik fired up the 4.3 and down we go... until it **** a rod right thru the oil pan.

I think Brad might have some pics of that.

So the only time all day I think that anyone got a srrap hooked to them was Brad towing Derrik out...

Good day!

Right on guys. Where did you guys go? Why did the 4.3 **** the bed, overheated?

We were out in Park

The story w/ the engine was that he bought that whole setup, put it in, fired it up, sounded good... Brad took it for a drive and it started knocking... pulled the pan and somehow there was a mousenest of some kind IN the oilpan that had sucked up onto the pick-up causing 0 oil pressure.
So he removed the mess, put new bearings in it, new oil pump, and it seemed to run great.

Then on this trip, it was running a little warm, plus he was holding it on the rev limiter... so I am guessing a combination of all of that and the little Chevy that could said **** it, im done!
