Vehicle in question is an 81 Toyota pickup.

What is this, why is it bleeding coolant and what do I do to fix it? Do I even need it? Just replace it or can I plug it off or what?

Sorry guys, forgot to attach the picture the first go round and my pc is a little ****tarded so it took me a while.

The picture shows the intake manifold, near the thermostat housing.

hard to tell for sure where it is seeping from, either the temp sensor is broken and leaking internally or it is loose possible stripped out, i suggest draining a little coolant out of it, take it out clean the sensor and the hole thread it back in start it up and see were it is seeping from

Well what my truck is set up to use as the temp sending unit is farther toward the front of the truck on the manifold, pretty close to the fuel pump.

yep, both are temp sending units, mines actually plugged into the hole w/ the plug and has the plug where yours is

I got nuthin' on the unit behind the fuel pump, but thanks for letting me know wtf that 1 was:awesomework::redneck:

Good to hear guys. I just wasn't sure if it was maybe something that sat there passive. I'll find a plug and get er done.
