Ive beat the **** outta my truck since ive finished the build in march, 3rd gear clutch drops with 39.5's broke a factory birf every time I wheeled it but I got longs now I just gaotta get some chromo gears and see how she does then, I finally weighed min last week ant its 3365 with me and full o gas and beer!

Basicly the laid back look an full tube look the style is what we were going for .most crawlerS I've set up have been mostly drop on the suspension to where a bouncer u try to run equal an let most of the flex be central an the driver

Exactly what I'm looking for, probably after a few beers I'll think I'm in a big block and 1 tons and do something stupid but that's what its all about! ;D

point and shoot , a crawler pick a line and tire placement and maybe a spotter .. a bouncer hit it wide open never let off hope tire. finds a bite and don't let off till your upside down or broke. crawl over rocks or bounce over top! bouncers are built for one hill till broke, crawlers are built for all day abuse ! crawlers like stickies,, bouncers like cut tsls of turfs. bouncers need wheel speed, crawlers crawl. I got a great toyota crawler,,, not enough HP for wheel speed max 4000 rpm, a doubler gives me 5.2 t-case no wheel speed there. For my bouncer I will go 4.7 ,lighter , more wheel speed ,little smaller tire, thinking 50 hp NO2 shot at WOT more hp and rpm!! may cut some tires for more bite,,, I will bring both one to break and one to ride!! for me a crawler has more than one seat to enjoy with others! A bouncer is my life alone in my hands, like a race car built for my safety ONLY.. Only me to worry about upside down or sideways!! !
1 question? my crawler is 110-112 wheel base do bouncers do better longer or shorter?

112 good for 38 an 21 in belly 116 good for 39 to 42 with 22 to 24 belly 118to 120 44 at 24 to 26 belly height

I get the difference in HOW crawlers and bouncers wheel. Been to a few bouncer comps and of course seen lots of videos. I was askin more specifically what would make a chassis a "bouncer" chassis over a crawler.

Style wise, the laid back and lots of tube looks like a bouncer for sure! Add the droop/up travel setup specific to bouncers and I can start to see what would make a chassis specific. I still see lots of bent Yota axles in y'all's future. Haha

I was just playin arround ... But lower center of gravity , driver safety, NO EXTRAS!!! I may run a 2.5 gal. tank and no alternator..
Mainly lots of tube for lots of safe rollovers . to live on the edge still have fun!! crawler drivers stand and watch bouncers !!!

if u mean angryfab I don't mean to cut in on nobody . im to slow smurfy (kevin can build 2 in the time it takes me to build 1 . but if I am steeping on aneybodys toes I will tell this nice man to call them . an I will go up to the highschool an build every kid in welding class a chassis an then thrir will be 10 new builders a year for people to call

I'd love to see an all Toyota bouncer style buggy! A fast looking chassis similar to a Smith with no skins and some rolled tube, but maybe 3/4 scale of a V8 powered full width buggy chassis. Definitely do a link suspension instead of leafs like an F-toy. If you keep it light I think built Toyota axles would survive with 40s and a Toyota drivetrain.

What is funny about this thread is I sold the perfect rig for this built it was all Toyota drive train one end to the other I beat it day in and out I wish I had it for u to build me a chassis because I drove it just like OL YELLA and it never broke it had all the power u could build out of a Toyota custom ground cams to a balanced bottom end with dome pistons / center force clutch/ 2.8/4.7 daul cases Longfield out put /rock assault front and rear v-6 gears with Detroits longs in front trail gear chromos in rear three front and rear with race runner shocks it won every tuff truck I raced in it but I wanted to run with the big boys so I bought this basket cases I have now lol

Maby we can do ya proud I will start the fram tomorrow an it will be s slow but I talked to our victim (aka mike) an he said he was around 5, 10 an his wife weighed little of nothing so we can build it small an go fast look I've been unloading before an can't help but notice the next rig beening haled through the gate :**** people don't normaly gather to see the yota on the trailor but now with smurfy's an this one (when complet ) that can change
