Is there a factory or aftermarket throttle plate assembly for a spread bTore intake that a 425 mixer will bolt to? Right now I have two adapters and the throttle plate under the mixers and it looks like I'm running a tunnel ram. I'd like to get them as low as possible. The wood block isn't one of the adapters I'm talking about!

Nice buggy!
Thanks man! Was hoping to get it done before winter, but I've given up on that and will just slowly drudge away at it and be ready for riding season next year.

Do you have a dual carb manifold that takes spreadbore base plates? I didn't know they existed.

Carter style isn't the same as speard bore? The adapters I had where square to spread and they bolted right on ???

The Carter base plates have a slightly narrower bolt pattern than the Holley pattern. A spreadbore throttle plate has small front butterflies and huge rear ones and the bolt pattern is wider than both of the others.

:dunno: I did not know that. Thanks for the info :dblthumb: Despite not knowing what the hell I had I got the mixers to bolt to the intake with throttle plates lol

This is mine with 1" adaptor carter to holley with holley base

I presidentail solutioned mine and made two 3/8" thick adapters that lets the throttle plates bolt to the intake. I'll post up a picture when I get home sunday.
