Effing snow in the ham

Roads still that bad up there? Went to Wal-marks around 11with one of my kids and all the roads down here are now smooth sailing. Road in front of our house is still sporting a little ice n places(neighborhood & shaded) but nothing like that down here. What kills me with all the stranded vehicles is the amount of 4wd trucks I saw left or n ditches. I guess most probably didn't know how to turn the dial on the dash!

Yeah after they updated FB they were stuck, tweeted they were stuck, and sent a text to everyone in thier phone the fingers were to tired to turn the dial....

Here's a friends driveway. They finally got a back hoe out to dig it out. They've been pulling the kids back and forth to the road on a sled to get to their cars all week

That doesn't look very slick to me

That isn't, they just dug it out, it's a 6 foot deep drift the 1/2 mile down their drive. Everything else has been covered in snow and ice for the last month straight.

Took me 5 1/2 hours to get from Downtown Bham to Hayden (3 of those were just trying to get out of downtown) Tuesday but I made it in my old 2wd 77 Chevy pickup. I was carrying two 6' sections of phone pole already and had 2 bags of quickcrete in front that I threw in the back. That and airing down had me passing people that couldn't make up hills even with some slick ass tires on back.
