I'm trying to find out if there is a rear output shaft seal needed for my th400 before I bolt the Atlas adapter and case together. I know the atlas input is sealed but is there an additional seal that needs to go over the tranny's 32 spline output shaft to keep fluid from reaching the adapter mounting surface? I'm guessing the answer is no but just wanting some confirmation before I proceed.

Here's a pic from the rear of my tranny with only the atlas adapter bolted up. Is there a seal that goes over the output just past the splines?

Re:

Im going to say youre good as long as there is a seal at the atlas input. Thats how my last 205 was. Seal mounted to the t case on input shaft.
