    fifth stud.

    I think they all use 1/2" bolts. I did bend some 3/8" thick brackets for the fifth stud setup, but havent had an axle to verify fitment.

    weld on beadlocks question

    I just grind some of the high spots down and leave the rest of the weld as is. Slip tire over wheel, smear silicone on the weld area, let set up and then bolt the outer ring on. No leaks.\ 1/8x1/2" or 1/8x3/4" flat bar works good for anticone rings, Im pretty sure its what bobby uses as well...

    Id try the chemical stripping first. I dont know how you would polish the rings back after sandblasting. Also, I think they use glass beads or walnut shells on aluminum rather then sand.

    More then likely it was sandblasted before powdercoat, so you would have to polish it. Just for reference, I took some rings that were powdercoated already, to the sandblaster and he wanted $40 a ring. It took him a half hour to do one ring. I told him forget it, the material wouldnt even cost...

    boonie buster, i am pretty sure he was running a d44 ... My dana 30 held up because it was open and all the strain was on the rearend because it was locked. I honestly dont think you can make that LP work because of driveline angle. Mine was real bad even with a HP. Just keep posting pics and...

    I went with hp dana 30 with 4.10 gears. Matched the rear gears and my speedo was dead on... I dont know how the 2.8L will like 36s.
