Ultra4 - Tear Down in Tennessee - (AOP, South Pittsburg, TN) East series (6/27/25 - 6/28/25)

I want to want to go... but then I think about driving to chattanooga to sit in the hot ass humid woods all day and think I'd rather go fishing or something. I know, cool story. :dunno:

    SXOR single seater build

I wouldn't take the LJ apart unless you "know" you can get it done over one winter or something. You already know/said it's a bad idea :****: , just buy another jeep to build up

I would say with 2 kids, finishing up a single seater probably isn't much a priority either? It will be cool when you get to use it again.

That's a crazy deal on the 10" gears. Wow. and they still have some listed...

    Pickett State Park/Blackhouse Mountian 1-23-2016

Thanks for posting an update. Looks like they closed the only "real" trail on the TN side, so that will detract most anyone from going. It will still be worth riding out to Wagon Gap and Yellow Doors overlooks, and to Carpenters Rock House in a daily driver, and maybe it won't get absolutely...

    Toyota Hydro Assist Weird Problem.

k so have you took the ram apart?

    Toyota Hydro Assist Weird Problem.

if you capped the fittings on the ram and it was still hooked to the tie rod, and you could drive fine, then the ram is bypassing internally. If you cap the fittings on the ram it should dead head the ram and lock it up.

    Toyota Hydro Assist Weird Problem.

I'd pull the ram apart and check it (if it always works with the ram disconnected). Sounds like the piston may have come loose (or off) the rod. When you turn left, it pushes the piston onto the rod and steers, when you turn right is is bypassing through the piston and putting pressure on both...

    Pickett State Park/Blackhouse Mountian 1-23-2016

Forestry has to survey the timber occasionally (like every decade or so) as part of the forestry management plan. My thoughts are they are getting ready to sell some of the timber so it will be closed for a while. They did the same thing in Natchez Trace years ago. The Natchez Trace State...

    Pickett State Park/Blackhouse Mountian 1-23-2016

The proliferation of mapping apps/software along with SXS makes riding "new" areas much more accessible to people. And when it's a state forest with no maintenance, management, permits, etc, it's easy for vehicles to wreck the place. Anyone that has ridden there is guilty of taking bypasses...

probably grasping straws since they will likely go out of business now. Not a good way to run a business. I haven't been to Pickett in 7-8 years? I didn't even know there were rentals and such

At least the overlanders can still overland over the land to the mineral lake and wagon gap overlook. (y)

4 months seems like a long time to run a dozer down the main trail, but it's definitely needed. Chest deep ruts and 47 bypasses aren't "sustainable"

    I.w.i.w clampy

I'd be surprised if any of the cheapest generic shocks have application specific valving. Rancho 5000s are available in pretty much any length as a universal shock. You could always step up to a 9000 and get the adjustable clicker. It looks like Summit has some generic black "truck shocks"...

You looking for bare bones cheap white shocks? rear f250 shocks are available in several different lengths. or you can look at universal style shocks Summit racing is easy to sort by extended/collapsed length
