    Chris (Dobber) Roller passed.

damn. I haven't seen him in several years. I always remember him having a big smile on when we was in the woods.

    Peterbilt flatbed

your buggy weighs less than the engine and transmission on that truck. I'd build a bed long enough that put the bell housing of the buggy over the back axle .

    Gas or Diesel??

Adjusting shift points in tow/haul mode to kick down earlier/less throttle input may give you better seat-of-the-pants results than messing with the motor. Basically tune the shift points for the weight you're towing, instead of the best guess the factory made. Does the 2008 2500HD have a 4L...

Nice. Look at that stock torque curve (line? plateau?)

    WTB Tacoma rear diff

It's a completely stock open diff 200K mile rear axle that's only seen 31" tires. I've never had the 3rd out of it. I put new rear wheel bearings and brakes on a few years ago and it got fresh oil then. Well I guess the only that is not "stock" is when I did a u-bolt flip I welded some shock...

Also, it would be more my level of rig if the over the muffler there was couple dollar store air bake cookie sheets wire tied to the seat frame for heat shields

    Gas or Diesel??

I'll vouch that it is worse in west TN. Everyone is a "farmer" and every farmer needs a lifted 3/4t CCSB diesel. I mean, that's where Rough Country "We get you lifted for Less" is based...

    YJ Build...just a little different.

I vote 2.9L Colorado "Atlas" 4cyl + 4l60E + Shorty adapter Atlas tcase loller.gif (or a 4.8/5.3/6.0 "LS" v8 if you want to do something that makes better financial sense :stir:)

    Gas or Diesel??

8.1 will run for years at 4K. 3K-4K is the powerband. They use them running huge pumps at full load for days at a time, or cruising in big boats for hours at a time at full load. But you're only getting about 2 mpg at full tilt!

    Low budget YJ build

Just pack what he needs for the weekend, she'll take care of the rest while y'all are wheelin. He can worry about that next week.

How wide is too wide? Axles…

Jimmy Howe told me "It ain't rock crawling if you drive AROUND the rocks"... I was in a Toyota on 33s... He was in a Rockwell'd YJ on 46s.

    YJ Build...just a little different.

Cool Pretty sure your tires and wheels make up for more than the added 243 pounds. I'd say it's "lighter" than a stock YJ. Just looked it up, your tires are 82lb each. stock 215/75r15 tires that came on the wrangler are ~25lb each. So there is 228lbs... Then one of your beadlocks weighs as...

    WTB Tacoma rear diff

How much would you give for a complete open diff 8.4 axle? it had new bearings and brakes put in about 10K miles ago, so it shouldn't need anything to be ready ride That may encourage me to finish my e-locker rear swap...

    Gas or Diesel??

I mean, it's only got 1/2 the gears of an F150.... and over twice the motor, and infinitely less turbos. It's an unsolvable equation.

    Vehicle Market predictions

The .gov will buy up all the NOS vehicles as a bailout for the automakers, and probably give them to the Taliban. OR what is more likely, is EV mandates, and the automakers will get tax credits and "carbon credits" for destroying the stockpiles of evil fossil fuel burning vehicles. I need a...

In all fairness, those are the Ultras. Not the super tiny Baja SS that we all used to run back in 2003. I'm somewhat of a connoisseur of cheap ass bargain bin suspension seats :rolf:

    Vehicle Market predictions

I think they'll keep prices high on new stuff and just keep pushing longer and longer terms with 0% interest rates (like 10+ years). The economy is addicted to debt and big corps are mainlining it. Borrowing for used vehicles is easier and cheaper than it's ever been also.

Are you doing something new (wider) with front axle as well?

Let's be honest here, it looks like someone tried to build a copy(ish) of the Coleworx Highlighter/Riddler (or any of the other Coleworx TJ buggys) from a decade+ ago... But made it less cool.
