    22re power (oxymoron I know)

Yea I've been following along. It'll live. There are 3rz's out there running over 1000 hp in drag rigs so they are capable of much, much more than 350 while still being reliable.

    22re power (oxymoron I know)

An R series isn't even in the same class as an rz. 350 hp from an rz is just another tuesday. Dead nuts reliable and cheap to build.

    22re power (oxymoron I know)

A guy up in Canada did all the normal tweaks to an re from port work, aggressive cam, supra afm etc and put down 160 hp/ 190 tq to the back tires on a 2wd and flat ran out of computer. Bang for the buck is a nice midrange cam (around 265* duration and over .450" lift), adjustable cam gear...

    Clip or No clip?

Run the clip There are only 2 pins instead of the typical aftermarket 6 so when the Chinese studs sheer the hub body needs to be retained or it will go shooting across the woods never to be seen again.

    JK's.....

Jk's are like a full sized blazer with a tired 305. Big, heavy, no power and **** axles. But 503 different companies make billions of geegaws and doodads to customize it just like everyone else's. :haha:

    Air hose

The "good year" hose from HF is crap. Nice and flexible because it's thin and super vulnerable to puncture. 5 years after I bought it i still have a few short pieces ive turned into whips for tools and have kept it inside at all times are porous in many spots and cracked end to end. I have...

    output shaft grind on

Yup that's an early case from behind an l43 side shift transmission.

    S&N Fab Bravo 2RC.

I'd suggest a windshield and heater should be added to the to-do list. :flipoff:

    Another Toyota the red rocket

5 speed swap? That's an sr5 it should already have a w55 5 speed in it and a 7.5" rear with 3.43's. I can't imagine a scenario where someone thought it was a good idea to swap a g45 4 speed into it. :redneck:

    22re cam/head suggestions?

He was probably in it under a grand honestly. The only part over $50 individually was the cam gear, underdrive pulleys and cam. The maf and injectors are junkyard supra parts. I absolutely agree that there is only so much juice worth squeezing out of an r series. Lce will happily sell you...

    22re cam/head suggestions?

The dude was in college and the school had a chassis dyno. He ported the heck out of the head, went with oversized valves, typical header & exhaust, adjustable cam gear, underdrive pulleys, supra AFM, larger injectors etc. He was running out of the computers ability to compensate for the mods...

    22re cam/head suggestions?

The 261 isn't going to do **** for the idle. It won't make much more power than stock either. :haha: Grab a stock replacement head and gasket match the intake and header. Grab at least a 270 or 282 duration cam and tweak the timing and mixture till it runs out well. There is a guy on...

    Mix-n-Match ???

I think the pain in the **** year is 88. For the most part the hubs are the same from 76-95ish. When I did this conversion to put discs on an early bronco 44 I used 76 gm backing plates, spindles and calipers with 86 f150 hubs and rotors. The stock bronco stub shafts and locking hubs worked...

    Toyota auto

Awesome, it takes about 50 hp to operate a th350 so I hope you have a fire breathing 22r in front of it. :redneck:

    Another lil something.....

They need a vent to work. It's easy to push hot fluid out since it's getting passed a cap with 13-16 lbs of pressure but it doesn't draw that much vacuum to suck the coolant back in without a vent.

To auto or not to auto

I haven't heard anyone but a show car schmuck say anything different about that piece. I've helped on cars that used them and they are nice to look at but fawking garbage to use.

    Cam or buckle style harness

I ran latch style in my wheeler since it was exposed to the elements. My autocross truck has cam locks going in. Anyone that doesn't like cam locks because they can't see that it's latched must have a hell of a time with seat belts in cars since they can't figure out if it's latched or not.

    Art Carr shifter cable

Pull the cable off and measure tip to tip. It's not like the cables come in 1" increments, they are 3, 4, 5 or 6 feet long etc.

    toy springs

3" and longer shackles will perform better.
