For what it is worth... when I talked to a supplier of electrical contactors for winches, same design as the Warn unit in the picture above... I was told they do not always function correctly when mounted upside down.. -- Todd

Do you know if it is ODB-I or ODB-II? Apparently, there are some late 95 model year vehicles that have ODB-II on them...

You can run the ABS shafts in a non-ABS axle. Also, if you have ABS, and you buy non-ABS shafts, you can easily take off the ABS tone ring/collar and put it on the non-ABS shaft in place of the dust shield. As long as the XJ D30 is not vacuum disconnect, you can run them fine.

Perhaps I misunderstand what you are trying to do... but what about laying a bead of weld around the tube? Or, finding another piece of tube with an I/D of 5/16", and slice off a 1/4" piece and weld it on?
