If it is less than 3hp, get a VFD that is single phase in 3 phase out. If you have more than 3 hp, use a rotary phase converter. If you use a static phase converter you lose about 25% HP. Static phase converter just starts the motor, then it drops out and the motor runs on single phase.

How are you going to run a Dana 300 to a YJ front 30? Why waste time with an ancient TBI. If you are going 4.3 get the newest one you can. They are so well supported now there is no reason to waste time with a crusty old under powered TBI.

It just doesn't make any sense to use a th350 with a 4.8 or 5.3. You're already doing the wiring and have the PCM for the 4l60 to work.

When you start looking at price/performance/headache as a package it is almost impossible to beat a 5.3/4l60 setup. If you are swapping axles anyway just go drivers drop and you can use the chevy t-case too.
