    Where to get regeared

100 an hour for an independent shop? Damn... things have gone up in the last few years.

Sequoia/ SUV upgrade for the wife

I bought the Denali for the power/towing. But I've decided it's not enough for what I want. So I am going to pick up a new DMAX. The kids can just fight it out in the back seat, lol.

Sequoia/ SUV upgrade for the wife

Yup, the Toyota. Tahoe? No. Yukon Denali, maybe. But for few reasons. Power and looks are far better. But everything else? Yota.. I do like newer expeditions. But the 5.4's are crap. If you don't buy new enough to get the TT V6, don't bother.

    Camper ?

I would love a motorhome. But once you set up camp, you're stuck. I won't be able to live with that. A toy hauler is in the near future.

    Camper ?

I doubt you will find a decent camper for 3-4k. I'd bet 7-10k at least. But if you can prove me wrong. I'd be pretty happy with that.

WTF?! Used tow rig for a decent deal, unpossible?

I guess I was thinking of the wrong 6.2 :Bonk:

WTF?! Used tow rig for a decent deal, unpossible?

They don't have good deals on used, only new. I have a 6.2 in my yukon. Needs a tune, but it's a pretty healthy engine for stock.

WTF?! Used tow rig for a decent deal, unpossible?

I'd take a 6 leaker. Just don't do an 03 (preferably 05+). And have about 3500 set aside (immediately) for the correct mods. As for other used rigs. I'd rather take on another house payment and buy a new rig then pay these jackasses a premium for their used crap. Especially those that feel...

    Lets see your tow rigs

The truck is still in the body shop (but in much better hands now, and actually making progress). Plus I needed a better family rig. So I picked this up a few months ago. I definitely miss the extra wheel base of my suburban while towing, and the cargo space behind the 3rd row is pretty much non...

    Emmissions failure

They've called me out on it. But I didn't care, just kept doing the same. A friend of mine told them he wouldn't floor it because he didn't drive his truck that way and wasn't going to start doing it for them. They passed him as well. He had plenty of fuel and twins :D

    Emmissions failure

They always told me to floor it and hit redline. Nice and easy up to about 2300. Then nice and easy off. Didn't care if they complained about it or not. They still passed me. Once I had too much fuel. It was a 12 valve and easily fixed in the parking lot. 5% is minimal, just running it a little...

    2006 RAM steering gear upgrades?

Nice, I've only seen them fracture.

    2006 RAM steering gear upgrades?

Should be a recall on it. You're talking about the tie rods correct? Not the balljoint? I've seen the 08+ upgrade fail, but maybe they have upgraded the upgrade by now? I can't seem to find the years now. Only seeing 08+ for recalls at the moment.

    Airbags

I'm hoping I can come up with some sort of "quick release" feature when I get mine back. I ran Bilstiens, which were far better than the Ranchos I had. But still didn't make up for the bags.

    Airbags

I heard quite a few complaints about the air air lift bags leaking back when I bought mine (may have changed since then, it's been 10 years or so). So I went with firestone. I didn't care for how much it changed the ride, even at just 5 psi. But they worked great.

Well, judging by the number of lug nuts on each axle, if it is in fact 9k. He doesn't seem to be too worried about weight ratings, or safety. Not to mention the excessive amount of tongue weight.

    New diesel shop

Basically, yes. They've been unhappy for years. But there was a final straw that forced them to make the move. His son wasn't the reason they left. I just don't care for him, to put it nicely.
