Thats what the transmission shop said also. Seems like a easy fix though. I was thinking of cutting the rubber hose off & putting a hose clamp on it, But the hose is way bigger then the line.

My transmission line is leaking. where the rubber hose coupler & metal line connect. Is there a special tool you have to use to get this off? Has anyone had this problem before & why would it start leaking bad seal ,o ring?

Yeah, it was the seal in the Vac pump. I was able to get under the truck & see where it was comeing from.

This kit is the shiat, very easy to do only took like a 1/2hr once it was out of the truck.

Its leaking oil just in front of the res. I was told if you replace just the seal it will probably leak again, that it was better to just replace the pump. The pump is $550 from Napa. This is a rebuild kit for the pump, they say its real easy to do just a pita to get it out of the truck. 4-5 hr...

I got it out finally. Tried some heat didn't work to well. To small of a bolt to weld to. I had drilled through the bolt, so I punched the ez out all the way through & started drilling. Put the timing chain cover on for a guide.

So, I broke a bolt in my block putting on my water pump. tried to get it out with a EZ out & broke that as well. The bolt & the EZ are just a hair inside the block. I tried to get the EZ out with a punch by hitting it on the sides & trying to wiggle it loose. Does anyone have any Ideas on how to...

I was having the bottom end done on the 5.0 & the guy says it had a blown head gasket. Now he says I should just bore it 30 over, new pistons, crank kit, cam, lifters, heads surfaced, injectors cleaned. The rebuild would cost about 3,000. What do you guy's think, is that what I should do?
