    Help Identifying gear set company

    I bought this gear set used; they said they were for a CJ Jeep. After trying to set up gear to get a good pattern, I am not so sure. It is an AMC 20 in a 76 CJ narrow track. I need help Identifying the gear manufacturer so I can run the numbers.

    The Bearing journal closest to the flangeand mesure around 1 15/16 inch to the top of the gear mounting surface. from the top of gear mounting surface to the top of the bearing journal is around 4 11/16 inch.

    I had the same thing happen to me. I put in a DUI dist. and it kick ass I have had the thing covered in mud/water it didn't miss once. plus it use a chev dist cap.:awesomework:

    Cj winch mount

    Winch Mount Here is pic of what I did. I have a V8 in my jeep and when I put the winch on Man, did I notice a lot of weight in front. I think that the farther back over the axle the better. I have no over heating problems I just used some 1/4 inch plate. It works great!

    new way to remove a bearing race.

    Well it might be new some of you. A friend told me about this, I had never heard of this but it worked. If you don't have a bearing race pull just put two one inch or so welds on it one on the top and on the bottom. Just make sure you don't weld the race to what ever you are pulling it out of...
