    tacoma rust

Been keeping my eye out for a Tacoma 4 door for awhile. In Wenatchee their pretty proud of them. Anywhere from '09-'13 their a steady $31k new '14 from $32-34k. Logic says buy a new one! Then I decided for $34k I'd just keep my shitbox and build a shop in the spring instead of a new rig. Then...

    Bending tube and ?

Also be creative and make your joints stronger by drilling 3/16 holes in 1/4 inch tube then inserting it rather than making a t joint :) Plus its easier to slide it together instead of holding it in place to tack it. And you dont have to use a round file or a dremel to fish mouth the ends. :)

    Bending tube and ?

I use 3/16 brakeline mostly and tack it together with a little 110 miller with cored .023 wire. Then when its all together i go back with mapp gas torch and safety silver solder. Best tip I can give you is good fitting joints, clean steel, and load on the flux before brazing.

    Jeep Help / Advise

My '96 zj (318) had issues with the throttle position sensor sticking due to the blow by tube is pointed right at it. With that many miles its safe to say you have some blow by and its worth looking at. It comes in from the back of the throttle body. Just lift up the throttle body and spray...

    fxr problem

Dig problem. Test the esc by bypassing the dig and hooking a motor directly to the esc. If it works your esc is fine and the dig is lost. Could br toast, could be your cheap radio without endpoints. also screw with the 3rd channel nuetral on the back of the radio. that might get the dig...

    Keep it simple

I've wheeled many sami's on 33's and only once popped an axle any I blame that on the yukon jack and and an amaizing spotter in a bikini :cheer: Never ran a locker in the front though. I twisted a rear axle about 2 splines worth over 7 years with a lincoln locker and it never snapped.

    School me on a BEC

That works too. It'll power the reciever too that way. Limits your voltage setting to whatever your reciever is rated for though.

    School me on a BEC

Plug the bec into the y. Plug the servo into the y. The remaining plug goes to the reciever but only the signal wire gets used. Cut or remove the red and black on that plug. Pretty simple.

    School me on a BEC

Ever here that term "theres more than 1 way to skin a cat"? You can plug your bec into the battery port of the recievr if you remove the red wire leaving the reciever to the speed control. This configuration will power the reciever and every thing hooked to it through the bec. The other...

anyone else have a wheely king crawler

There are many different ways to wire a bec. Most important thing to remember is that the esc has an internal bec (very weak) and if you power your reciever with the bec without disconecting the internal bec it will smoke 1 if not both of them.

    Glitching....

Make sure that it never crosses its self also. Most put it in a piece of fuel tubing and run it up one side of the cahssis and back town the other. The straighter the better. All else fails I got an airtronics 2.4 for sale.

anyone tried the pitbull rc tires yet?

I run them on my ttc rig. They are awesome in the snow and mud and clean out very good. I've run them on the xr10 too and they are as sticky as a rover. Great all around tire. Little wide for a comp rig though. Hope their still legal in scale when the rules are released.

anyone else have a wheely king crawler

You need a BEC to power the servos. Having 2 is starving the reciever of power causing it to glitch
