    Superduty door handles/ thieves

Thieves ain't that smart. I recall a story about a guy trying to steal a convertible. He carefully cut the seam so it could be fixed easier. They caught him crying beside the car. Turns out, it was unlocked the entire time! But still, there must be some reason for them breaking in. Are you sure...

    Ability to weld aluminum

The ramp is moveable. It has legs that need moved so it can be raise up to go over the lip of the upper step. I'd bring it to you, but I'd probably get stuck in the grocery getter. That, and I can't load it myself...

    Ability to weld aluminum

I am guessing most aluminum welders aren't that mobile? Clear this up for me. I have a ramp I need raised up a few inches...

    RTW trail opening BBQ

Names to rigs? Okay, so I'm driving over to the Starbucks in Snohomish when I pass this truck, a modified 4x4 into a 6x6, Chevy/GMC, carrying a Zuk on the flatbed. I'm guessing they came from Reiter. Question I have is: Did you start with a surplus military rig, an m1008 or just paint it camo...

    Dad's Mach 1

:awesomework: I thought after not seeing anything for so long, and now this thread is back, it was to announce the car had been stolen/totaled/sold and we wouldn't see it truly come to life. :awesomework: This year of 'Stang is my favorite. The original 'Gone in 60 Seconds' had one of these...

So, it went from a full city block to a country block to turn? Or you no longer use it for trips to the mall on the weekends?

    Drill bits and metal

Heat+Oil+HSS bits for the win Oil+HSS bits, not so good. Used a little bit to start, bit it seemed to do the job.

    Drill bits and metal

Mag drills are pricey, even used ones. And I don't think I can use one in this instance. There isn't enough surface to mount one. Although, if I did have one, I could take up safe cracking, right?

    Drill bits and metal

I'd still have to drill holes for the end brackets and the cross supports :-/ That was my plan originally, but I didn't want to have to worry about the end brackets and such. I also don't know where to get the angle iron. Home Depot doesn't carry it. I'm going to go get new bits, HSS, some oil...

    Drill bits and metal

So, what bits do you use? Metal I am trying to drill holes through: Rails for a bed frame. It's stock angle iron for a bed, twin size. I have tried Titanium bits from Rigid and DeWalt and a black oxide from Milwaukee. Couple spins and nothing more. :puke: Ideas? I need something that will...

    bulletproofing dodge transmissions

Even after having my Dakota tranny rebuilt, after it having only 115000 on it, I can honestly say, the best way to make it 'bulletproof' is to buy anything but a Dodge. Yeah, rebuilt, shift kit, cooler, better converter. still have issue with the temp light comping on for the transmission, and...

    1943 Willys MB

One that is fully restored can got for 5 figures, but probably not over $20,000. Parts, on the other hand, whether NOS or rebuilds, can be pricy. If you go to the site I mentioned, one guy has a rolling hulk, it looks like, and he wants $1,200. It looks like crap. I think I would offer him...

    1943 Willys MB

I have a fairly decent range, but I think it might be closer to the lower end, considering the work needed to really bring it back to the living. Not quite scrap, but I think it's worth a restoration project. So, shout out a price. What's the worse someone could say?
