I just found a crack in my exhaust where the pipe exits my Cat. Looks like the weld cracked. There is not any pipe between the crack and the cat.
Any ideas as to weather or not this could be welded? I'l get a pic up later (the wife took the camera )
Thanks!!
Those look nice .
I've given this idea a lot of thought. I'm still on the fence. It looks like zooks have similar body mounts to the jeeps. I'm worried about transferring vibrations from the frame to the body.
:haha::haha: you caught me.
I can't figure how to get a bolt back there:mad::mad:.
I took off part of the inner fender to see how much room I had in there. There isn't very much room to work. :booo:
I've got 5/8th booms front and rear and like them. For a little more clearance without changing the handeling you could go for a 1" body lift. The nice thing about either the booms or the body lift is that they will useful for with future upgrades.
Cheers
Kat's pic looked pretty deep.
Even on a day with good conditions my rig and skill (or lack there of:mad:) will keep me on the easy trails. Especially when I'm on my own.
Any idea what it's like on the edge loop and woodland loop? Would I get myself in to too much trouble?
Hi Eric!! The wife even "let" me get a lift kit:cheer:. She doesn't know that I'll be needing larger tires to match the lift :haha::haha:. I'm hoping to get out more often this summer.
cheers
Absolutely not!! :eeek: Just trying to give an idea of my experience (or lack there of :haha:) I'm pretty sure that with the recent wet conditions that I'll need to stick to the easier trails.
edit:
Isabel wasn't a great idea last time and it was bone dry then. :redneck:
we only went up to...
Thanks all!!
When I had the belt off I made judicious use of a can of wd40. It was easier to not get any on the belt. I'm keeping the wd40 in the jeep for now.
Drove it to work today. No squeals. Left most accessories off. Voltage stayed steady at just under 14. Mabey the jeep just...
Yup we keep a set of jumper cables in all of our vehicles. It only takes getting stuck in an inconvenient place once to become a believer.
Thanks for the help. I'll run it around town for a while. Any trips to the hills to play in the snow are out until this gets sorted out :eeek:.
Guy seemed to know what he was doing. Not that I would know the difference :haha: but he didn't fumble around or look lost.
I haven't a clue how old it is. I bought the jeep a year ago. it's a Denso (sp) 90 amp. I don't thing it's the orig.
The wife is starting to pester me for buying a...
UPDATE:
Autozone tested the alternator and gave it a pass.
Got a dying cheap hygrometer and checked the battery - pass. At least all the balls floated to the top per the instructions :eeek:.
Put everything back together and tightened the belt a bit tighter then it was before. No more squeal...
