hey i have an 03 chevy crew cab 3/4 ton with quadrasteer and i want to convert it to a solid rear end does anyone know if you can does this and if so how hard is it to do the conversion

i think im gonna look to see if theres any sensors that maybe attached to the wheels or in that general area and if not im just gonna do it

u are right no one wanted to touch it but the guy at rcd did say that the normal lift for a chevy without rear steer will work so he has been told he just doesnt know how well

yea i talked to rcd directly and he said he doesnt know much about lifts on those trucks and he said his main concern was that the sensors for the rear steer may be affected

does anyone know anythign about putting a lift on an 03 chevy crew cab with rear steer?

i actually picked up a 3rd gen yoke last n ight that is going to get welded in place this weekend i hope. me and a buddy looked at it last night and noticed it to have older flanges than first thought:awesomework:

well it would of all been done right had i did it my way when it was being built by the guy who owned the truck before me. so basically i bought the truck this way and now i got to fix his fawk ups :booo:

so this is what i have in mind, i was thinking about putting a 3/4 inch spacer on the cross member and then get a 3 degree shim and put it under the springs which would put my caster and 4 degrees negitive. what do u think?:scratchhead:

i am using earlier flanges and thats another thing i was thinking about whas going to an ifs front flange to see if it would help

well i could take the time to do it all right but i dont have a welder either so that always seems to put a damper on things. i dont have a cv at the transfer case either its just a single u joint at both ends.

got to have the dough to dual case it but that too will soon be in the works trust me, so where did u get ur billit shims at? and with ur shims do u have a problem with ur hysteer arms hitting the top of the spring when u stuff ur tires?

its binding at a rest. and what is confusing to me is that my driveline angel doesnt look that bad at all

the pm helped out a lot and u are helping a lot too thanks a million. so i dont want anything less than 4 degrees negitive caster but 7 would be the best? and if i cant adjust my caster it sounds like a high pinion is in my near future cause i want to get this finished by fathers day weekend

i feel like a complete idiot but what is caster i can remeber camber and toe? and how can i find my caster angel?
