Gooseneck hitches BLUE OX or B&W?

I've been contemplating on two brands of gooseneck hitches for my 2011 F-350. 1: B&W turnover ball http://www.turnoverball.com/ 2: BLUE OX diamond hitch http://www.blueox.com/ Anyone have any experience with Blue OX or B&W? What I don't want to do is drill in my frame. Both look like no...

    2011 F350 w/6.7 diesel questions? Good deal?'s Issues?

I have an 04 Duramax that I love, however we need more room. We're seriously considering a 2011 F350 SRW crew with the new designed 6.7 diesel. We test drove a few, some lifted some not. All drove great wouldn't hesitate, but want some feedback. For the techs out there. -Any issues with this...

Teen got ticket for illegal offroad use...

I'm pretty certain the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe controls the Stuck river drive access area now. Yeah, that's a BIG area that was fun, but now locked down and patrolled by King County Sheriff's Office, Muckleshoot Department of Fisheries, and Muckleshoot Security. On the side note Tribal...

Teen got ticket for illegal offroad use...

Good for Officer Rankin! This area is a watershed and it's obvious the area is marked NO TRESPASSING with those barricades. The kid got off too easy, and should've got the misdemeanor 2nd degree trespassing charge. I know this area very well, it's getting totally destroyed because of kids...

    Axle tie down straps...

I've used them for almost 10 years and love them. Substantially cuts down unload/load time, rarely comes loose, and very versatile. I have two with the loops attached to the strap, and two that have the loops separate. Both work great.

    User fees

I already pay $60.00+ for the annual forest pass. This is on top of the additinoal monies for fishing licenses...even during times when I'm not fishing to just launch a boat in the summer time to play on the lake. On that note I have no problem paying a yearly fee of $60-100 a year to use an...

    Duramax as a daily driver?

. It's a 4x4, with no lift and rolling on just 285/75/16 MT's. The mileage was hand calculated, and we were surprised it gets better fuel economy than our Trailblazer. We drive mostly on the freeways, so that may play into the mileage.

    Duramax as a daily driver?

I have daily driven my 04 HD 2500 Duramax for the past five years and LOVE IT; we drive it anywhere from 5-60 mins for a commute. It gets between 20-22 MPG, with NO mods other than an intake. It rides better than the wife's Trailblazer, has VERY nice creature comforts with heated leather...

    Winch repair

I have an XD9000 that did that...and didnt like to free-spool out very nice. I rebuilt it myself, and it works like a champ now. These are easy to rebuild, just look up a schematic on-line, and get the parts. Also...USE some good grease...just not too much or the clutch won't release correctly.

Extended Steering shaft w/o cutting or welding

I got too excited to take a final photo of it before installation. I can snap one of it on the rig later this week though!!! On the side note I think this may work with a box that was moved as far forward as 5 or maybe 6 inches. Mine was only moved about 3, and I still had several inches to...

Extended Steering shaft w/o cutting or welding

So I thought I'd share this tech which I recently came across while doing the SAS on my 88 4runner. While moving my front axle and steering box forward I ran into the inevitable problem of the steering shaft being too short. When I slid the solid portion of the shaft out to get additional...

    Trailyota's 4runner Plate bumper build

Bumper I took the templates down to have them put into a drawing, and cut out. My guy has them on CAD and can re-produce them ONLY for me. As for the price...I'm keeping that sealed right now because I'm not ready to sell them ...YET... but I may if there is enough interest. I also have...

    Trailyota's 4runner Plate bumper build

Strength There are no supports going to the body from the ends of the bumper, however it's pretty stout and I dont think it'll go anywhere. I threw a jack under the bumper edge and let it sit for two days with the front wheel off the ground. When I lowered it down the bumper wasn't bent. A...

    Trailyota's 4runner Plate bumper build

Thanks! Must've been a sweet rig then. This one was from Nevada, and was pretty beat up. It's been a work in progress for about two years now. I'll post the before and after photos in a build thread later.
