OK. So it's not technically about "Whistler"...however, I did a log-drop up at Jap Gulch today that I'm so excited about! I've been eyeing it for a while, and it's un-do-able on my XC bike, but the DH bike, it's no biggie....yet it eluded me until today! I measured it a hip high (aka- 3'!)...

....and I think to myself, "Self, even I could hit those! :rolleyes: :eeek: So I turn around, and found these! (no, I cannot hit these! they would hit back too hard... :booo: :haha: :haha:) got skillz?

So. I get up there a little "early" last Friday, and Mauler says, "Hey, go session the DJ's for a while" (well, he texted it to me from work, he was not there to egg me on in person). So, I go on a recon mission and I stumble across these:

Whistler, Take Two! Went BACK to Whistler this weekend, for a 'quickie'.......yesterday was epic- warm, sunny, dry conditions, and learned much more of the upper mountain. Original Sin, Blue Velvet and No Joke play very well together!! I was SO excited to get back to Dirt Merchant to dominate...

I'm going back this weekend :D :D (like I'll be able to stop smiling before October, now, huh?!). Hope you get back into it, I had forgotten what a good time it is!! :awesomework:

....that is NOT all.... ....we got up (and after eating the second EPIC breakfast in a row- anyone ever eated at a restuarant called "Elements"?!) and hit the slopes by 10:30.... we "warmed up" on B-line....then "warmed up" again on B-line....then tried to warm up on Crank-It-Up....then tried...

Ok, it's been brought to my attention that more info is necessary! I used to ride DH "all the time", but never managed to get my a$$ up there.... then I stopped riding for a few years all together... then I got back into it over the past year, very slowly.... ....fast forward to this August...

The recommendation for Ridemonkey.com is a good one, there's a section on the pacific northwest, and you can find some local monkeys to show you around. Boxer's suggestion for Tapeworm in Renton is good, but maybe get someone to show you around first.... Riding Rocks! :cheer: :cool:
