shop for 6.0 ford diesel repairs

I leave the cab on to do head gaskets on most of the 6.0's that come through our shop, its not much harder then doing 5.4-4.6 heads in the truck. The 6.4 is a different story... pull the cab for just about anything on those. I get alot of misdiagnosed 6.0's come into our shop, even ones from the...

    Snow report?

Also heading over that weekend with a few other guys. Care to explain the "suggested" part? Planing on camping off the 1900 and heading up to the rocks on 676 like we do every year, anything I should know that has changed?

    v8 ranger swap?

Thought I read on another forum you used headman headers for a ford falcon? The stock mounts dont hold up well with a v6 so anything is an improvment. The 302 swap is not that hard, theres lots of good ideas and info online. L&L, james duff, advanced adapters and a few others can help if your...

    v8 ranger swap?

Those mounts look higher then the plate/4.0 mount alot of guys are using? I ended up making some out of poly bushings for mine to get it to sit where I wanted it to. I ended up copying your headers, the only ones I could find that fit worth a ****.

Why are IROK's less (in price) than everything else.

Love Iroks but the 39's I had in the 17" rim side were a joke to keep on the wheel (just google serch beed problems). Ended up making dual bead lock wheels to keep them on. x2 on the 36 being bigger then the 37

    My boring DD build

I have the hard to find shift boot and tray for a 5 speed/manual t case if your looking for one? I think pick-a-part has one out there on a green ranger more towards the chop shop also... Looks good. Explorers are good rigs but most of them have been beat to death... They were the number 1 cash...

    Need a good mechanic

Im not trying to be a **** but you already wasted money throwing parts at it (fuel pump and filter?) with no results? Yet you say paying a shop to diag it is going to cost way to much? Most GOOD indepedent repair shops have very reasonable rates and will be able to come up with the answer for...

    Yukon 44 shafts

Went through the same bs when I had my 44 with Randys and Yukon axles, except mine did come apart (over and over again). I ended up trying a set of Nitro shafts and 300m joints that made it about a year of hard abuse untill I broke a stub wich they took care of right away with none of the BS...

    2010 Ford F-350

We have got more then one 6.0L stud/headgasket job from the dealer because they wouldn't install anything but OEM ford parts and the owner wanted ARP's (and a delete). What Ford dealer are you using that will install ARP's under warranty?

    2010 Ford F-350

You can install the studs with the cab on when removing the heads, 6.4 and 6.0L heads are almost the same. I have yet to have one stock 6.0L head gasket fail... only time we do them is when someone wants a stud kit. Ford misdiagnosed alot of failed egr coolers on 6.0L's...

    2010 Ford F-350

You dont have to pull the cab on the 6.0L's to do heads, havent tryed on a 6.4 yet. We timed it at our shop and it didn't save that much pulling the cab so we just leave them on...

    17" rim off road

I ran 15" DIY's with Iroks and never had a problem with inner beads... 17's were a different story. First I glued the inner beads, didn't work. Then I welded 3/16" round stock on the inner bead and still had problems with them burping air on the inner bead at low pressure with the tire bound up...
